345 Vivid Sydney

Don't miss the Vivid light shows in Sydney, in the city and around the harbour, join the crowds and bring your camera (everybody else does) ... but if you want to avoid arm-fatigue, bring a tripod.

One remarkable aspect of being out last night was just how ubiquitous digital cameras - and especially phone-cameras - have become. It's probably fair to say that nearly as many people had a camera than did not. And these modern cameras shoot such good pictures, so easily. Amazing.

I repeat my request to Apple: Please join Samsung and Nokia and provide a camera-phone, where the camera is much more substantial than in the current iPhones; anyway, can't wait for iPhone 6 (I'm still on the original iPhone 4).
