515 Apple, can you hear me?

This is an open letter to Apple: Can you please tell me why the iPhone 6 falls short: Where’s the zoom lens? I had waited for the new iPhone, but I think I may not bother with the iPhone 6 and instead go with the Samsung Galaxy K zoom; I blogged about the issue before (blogs 476 and 345), but now my resolve is firming.

This is the thing: Why carry two devices if you can get away with just the one?! An able camera-phone will indeed kill two birds with one stone: A phone, with internet and all that, plus a proper camera ... would there still be a need for any point-and-shoot pocket cameras? I am disappointed, Canon and Apple. So there.
