Should we get vaccinated against Covid?
I remember ScoMo saying in the beginning, "no, no ... it won't be mandatory to get vaccinated." Well, fair enough. But there's a middle-way: Unless you have a medical exemption (anaphylaxis?) you SHOULD get vaccinated against CoViD: You will get a passport that certifies you as a responsible citizen. You don't HAVE TO get vaccinated, but no passport and you won't be allowed on that flight ... no passport, no access to public transport, the opera, cinemas, your gym, the footy, hotels, AirBnBs, Woolies, Coles, Aldi ... indeed any public place where people congregate.

Why vaccination should be compulsory
The reality is, 95 to 99% of people dying of CoViD are unvaccinated; this is the CoVi reality and it is a no-brainer that only one measure will get the better of this pandemic: Everybody needs to get vaccinated.
Adriana Midori Takara of Sydney, was 38 years old when she died from CoViD last week. Her first CoViD test was negative and a few days later, when she was tested again, it was positive. Ten days later she was dead.
I think it is shocking that there is such an irrational anti-CoViD-vacc movement ...
... methinks this is one of the most dangerous furphies of our time, that vaccinations are dangerous ... that they cause side-effects and that they may cost lives. They are not ... but they do, and they may. However, in comparison to the positive effects - of not only vaccines, but medicine in general - those concerns are dwarfed.

Unvaccinated Australians likely
face reduction in freedoms
Mandatory vaccines are controversial, but those who choose to stay unvaccinated will face a reduction in freedoms, Australian health authorities have warned.
This week it was announced New York City will require all municipal workers - including police officers, firefighters and teachers - to get vaccinated against coronavirus or take a weekly test, as America’s biggest city struggles under an uptick of cases.
In Germany, rising cases also prompted Chancellor Angela Merkel’s chief of staff to warn that restrictions for unvaccinated people may be necessary if COVID-19 infection numbers continue to soar.
Australia has already implemented mandatory vaccines for aged-care staff and vaccination passports are being considered - once all eligible residents have been offered the vaccine.
The AFL is also plotting out its attendance plans: Fans might have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test, to get through the gates on game day.
Australian Medical Association national vice-president Chris Moy said it was likely Australia would hit a point where those who are unvaccinated are refused entry to restaurants, cafes, sporting events and crowded spaces.

Brytney Cobia recently posted on Facebook the following account of her experiences working as a doctor in Birmingham, Alabama, USA:
“I’m admitting young, otherwise healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections. One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.
"A few days later when I call time of death, I hug their family members and I tell them the best way to honour their loved one is to go get vaccinated and encourage everyone they know to do the same.
“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin colour they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t.”
